The escape adventure novel game "Tasokare Hotel" is getting an anime adaptation, set to air in January 2025. Along with this exciting announcement, the official anime website and X (formerly Twitter) account have been launched, revealing the key visual and teaser PV. To celebrate the TV anime adaptation, a follow and repost campaign on the official X account is offering fans a chance to win a signed colored paper by the cast, including Rika Momokawa.
"Tasokare Hotel," created by Benoma Rei and SEEC, is a mystery adventure game set in the "Tasogare Hotel," a place that exists between life and death. Players help souls who can't remember their own names or whether they're alive or dead, solve various incidents in the hotel, and discover why they are there. Since its release in 2017, the game has been loved by fans worldwide, surpassing 1 million downloads. In a June 2022 Anime! Anime! reader poll, it ranked 13th among the games fans most wanted to see adapted into an anime.
The anime adaptation was announced during a live-streamed special on June 24 on YouTube, titled "Tasokare Hotel Series New Information Live Stream Special." The trailer showcases the journey of "Tasokare Hotel" and captures the essence of the game, raising fans' expectations for the anime adaptation.
The anime is directed by Kosuke Akimoto and produced by PRA. The cast includes familiar voices from the game: Rika Momokawa as Oto Tsukahara, Kodai Sakai as Haruto Ato, Yusuke Shirai as Hijiri Ogai, Kanpei Yamamoto as the Manager, Yuki Nagano as Ruri, Natsue Sasamoto as Menou, and Takashi Narumi as Kiriko. Comments from Benoma Rei and SEEC have also been shared.
Anime "Tasokare Hotel" will air in January 2025. Fans can look forward to seeing the mysterious and intriguing stories of unique characters set between life and death come to life.
