The anime "Yakuza Fiancé" has been confirmed for broadcast starting October 2024, and teasers has just been revealed. It has been announced that Hitomi Ueda will voice the character Yoshino Somei, and Akira Ishida will voice Kirishima Miyama, with their comments also arriving. In addition, information about the main staff handling the production has been announced.
"Yakuza Fiancé" is a yakuza love comedy currently serialized in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine by Asumi Konishi. It has gained immense popularity, particularly among female readers, for its thrilling and madly intertwined stories of love and hate centered around Yoshino Somei, the granddaughter of the direct boss of the Kiritani group, Kansai's largest yakuza organization, and Kirishima Miyama, the grandson of the direct boss of the Togusa-kai, the largest yakuza organization in Kanto.
The newly released key visual features Yoshino and Kirishima at the forefront, accompanied by other main characters from the Somei group and Miyama family, capturing the thrilling yet vibrant atmosphere of the series. Both Ueda and Ishida have shared their impressions and enthusiasm about their characters and the show.
The production team has also been announced, with Toshifumi Kawase directing and Studio Deen handling the animation. The series composition and screenplay are by Rika Takasugi, character design by Itsuko Takeda, and the music is composed by Hiromu Tsutsumi and Masato Suzuki.
