NEWS: The highly anticipated fourth movie, My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: You're Next, is set to hit theaters on August 2nd. The latest key visual has been revealed, featuring a dynamic lineup of Class 1-A members, pro heroes, and original characters created just for the movie.
For those who might not know, My Hero Academia, or “HeroAca” as fans affectionately call it, started as a manga series by Kohei Horikoshi in Weekly Shonen Jump back in July 2014. The series has been a massive hit, with over 100 million copies in circulation across 40 volumes. The TV anime's seventh season kicked off this May, continuing the heroic journey of Deku and his friends.
The movie series began in August 2018 with My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, followed by Heroes: Rising in December 2019, and World Heroes' Mission in August 2021. Each movie has been a blockbuster hit, and now, after three years, fans are excited for the latest installment, You're Next.
The newly released key visual is a feast for the eyes, featuring a total of 19 characters in action-packed poses. Illustrated by character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi and produced by Studio Bones, the visual includes the iconic scene of All Might pointing and saying, “You’re next.” It’s a powerful image, with Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, and the rest of Class 1-A, as well as pro heroes, all looking determined under the tagline, “Next Up, It’s Us!”
This visual not only ramps up the excitement but also hints at an intense and emotional battle centered around All Might’s legacy. Right in the middle, you can spot the two original characters created for this movie. Julio, with a sinister look, and Anna, with a melancholic expression, make us wonder how they’ll fit into the story. The anticipation for the movie just keeps growing!
