Get ready for a heart-fluttering start to 2025 as the anime "Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You" hits the airwaves on TBS, BS11, and more from January. Accompanying this exciting announcement, a teaser artwork and trailer have been unveiled.
The series will feature the voices of Sakura Araragi, Nozomi Urawa, Shione Yoshitaka, Shoya Chiba, and Keishi Inomata, with Junichi Yamamoto directing. The anime is based on the manga by Haruka Mitsui, serialized in Nakayoshi, and follows the romantic entanglements of four childhood friends who grew up like family, and the protagonist, Mizuho Nishino.
On her 17th birthday, Mizuho, a second-year high school student, has the worst birthday ever: her chance to get closer to her crush disappears, her parents completely forget her birthday, and to top it all off, an unknown infectious disease cancels school events and trips, leaving her feeling like she's missing out on her glittering youth. However, just when she's feeling lowest, her childhood friend, Teruki Hanesawa, suddenly declares himself a "boyfriend candidate."
The newly released teaser visual captures a poignant moment with Mizuho's childhood friends Teruki, Shin Kashiwagi, Ai Izumi, and Shugo Hoshikawa, lying back in shallow water, gazing forward as if looking at someone. The design, with its striking blue tones and splashes, is reminiscent of the comic's cover and is sure to catch the eye.
The teaser trailer cuts to a scene of the five childhood friends walking to school together. As they each speak to Mizuho, the trailer ends with her inner voice revealing a realization that things can't stay the same forever, leaving a lingering impression and anticipation for what's to come.
The main characters are voiced by a talented cast: Sakura Araragi as Mizuho Nishino, Nozomi Urawa as Teruki Hanesawa, Shione Yoshitaka as Shin Kashiwagi, Shoya Chiba as Ai Izumi, and Keishi Inomata as Shugo Hoshikawa. Director Junichi Yamamoto and the cast have also shared their comments, adding to the excitement.
