The long-awaited Season 2 of the anime is officially set to premiere worldwide on July 14, 2025, at 24:00 (JST)—that’s midnight, so technically July 15. Alongside the broadcast, streaming will also begin on various platforms including Netflix. To get fans hyped, the main promotional video has just dropped!
Adding more excitement to the announcement, the opening theme song for the new season will be “Method” by Kroi, a band known for their genre-blending sound and energetic grooves. Their track promises to add both emotional weight and explosive energy to the intense story of assassins colliding in a high-stakes world.
About the Series
SAKAMOTO DAYS is based on the hit manga by Yuto Suzuki, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020. With over 8 million copies in circulation, the story follows Taro Sakamoto, a once-legendary assassin who gave up his killer life to live peacefully with his family. But trouble always finds him, and now he fights off incoming assassins to protect his new life—with the help of some very capable allies.
The first season aired from January to March 2025 and left us on a high note, with Sakamoto and his team facing off against powerful assassins sent by the mysterious villain “X” (aka Slur). The mix of creative action, emotional moments, and tight team dynamics earned the series a loyal global fanbase.

The newly released trailer video teases the chaos to come in Season 2. It’s a three-way showdown between:
