A special exhibition celebrating the artistry and story of My Hero Academia will be held from June 21 to August 31, 2025, at CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO. Titled Kohei Horikoshi “My Hero Academia” Original Art Exhibition, the event will showcase the evolution of Izuku Midoriya (Deku) and other heroes through original hand-drawn and digital manuscripts, along with never-before-seen production materials.
Among the highlights is a life-size “Dark Deku” figure, based on newly created sketches by Kohei Horikoshi and brought to life by sculptors WATANABE × REN and BANDAI SPIRITS. This striking figure captures Deku's darker phase using dynamic 3D modeling, and a 1/7 scale version is planned for merchandise release.
The exhibition is divided into five thematic zones, covering key story arcs and character developments, including:
-
Zone 1: Deku’s early days and journey at U.A. High.
-
Zone 2: The decline of hero society and buildup to the Second War.
-
Zone 3: The final battles between heroes and villains in panoramic displays.
-
Zone 4: Intense showdowns with Shigaraki and All For One.
-
Zone 5: A glimpse at the future with special line art from Chapter 431.
A total of 31 official merchandise items will be available, including a 192-page official art book packed with Horikoshi’s manuscripts, production notes, and an exclusive 8-page long interview.
Tickets grant access to a rich retrospective experience, allowing fans to walk through a decade of My Hero Academia with immersive visuals and rare materials. The exhibition will run daily from 10:00 to 20:00 with final entry at 19:30.
