It’s been officially announced that the 4th season of the hit anime series Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- will air in 2026. Along with the announcement, the second teaser visual has been unveiled, giving us a first look at a brand-new character—Shaula, voiced by the talented Fairouz Ai. Plus, the introduction and character details for the upcoming arc have also been revealed.
About Re:ZERO
Re:ZERO is based on the popular light novel by Tappei Nagatsuki, which began on the novel site Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2012 and was later picked up by MF Bunko J in 2014. The story follows Natsuki Subaru, a teenage boy suddenly transported to a fantasy world, who discovers he has a terrifying power: the ability to rewind time upon death. This cruel ability forces him to face painful losses over and over again in order to protect the ones he loves. The series has sold over 13 million copies worldwide, including digital editions.
The anime adaptation began with Season 1 in 2016, followed by a split-cour Season 2 in 2020–2021, and a two-part Season 3 in late 2024 and early 2025. Two OVAs have also been released. The announcement of Season 4 came right after the Season 3 finale aired.

After a brutal showdown in the watergate city of Priestella, Subaru and his allies emerged victorious—but not without heavy sacrifices. Rem remains unconscious due to the power of “Gluttony,” Crusch has lost her memories, and Julius has even lost his very name. Meet Shaula – Voiced by Fairouz Ai
The newly revealed character Shaula takes center stage in the second teaser visual. She’s a star guardian of the Pleiades Watchtower, hidden deep in the treacherous desert. With scorpion-like features and an eccentric personality, Shaula is shrouded in mystery. Though legends describe the Sage as a wise man who once helped save the world, the visual shows a very different picture. Who—or what—is she really?
Shaula will be voiced by Fairouz Ai, known for her strong and dynamic performances. Fans are already buzzing with excitement to see what she’ll bring to this enigmatic new role.
