Episode 46 Summary: "Forbidden Army"
The fortress is engulfed in flames after Rouran sets fire to the gunpowder store. Reunited in the chaos, Maomao confronts Rouran, learning about her painful past and inner resolve. Despite Maomao’s attempts to stop her, Rouran insists on fulfilling her mission and heads toward Shinbi. Before parting, Maomao promises her “something”—a detail yet to be revealed but clearly of deep emotional weight.
Meanwhile, the Imperial Guard (Forbidden Army)—a direct force under the Emperor’s command—approaches the fortress. Jinshi, clad in regal purple and navy armor, leads the charge, signaling the start of the battle against the rebellious Ko Clan.
