NEWS: Exciting news for "NieR:Automata" fans! The second cour of the anime "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a" is set to air starting July 5th, and we've got a brand-new key visual to share. This stunning artwork, crafted by character designer and chief animation director Jun Nakai, features our favorite androids 2B, 9S, and A2, along with the mysterious Red Girl. The visual hints at the thrilling storyline awaiting us in the new episodes.
For those who might not know, "NieR:Automata" is an action RPG developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix in 2017. It's a global sensation, with over 8 million copies shipped and downloaded. The first cour of the anime aired in January 2023, and it was a hit! After the final episode, it was announced that the second cour was in the works, with the opening theme performed by the talented LiSA.
Mark your calendars, because the second cour will start airing on TOKYO MX and other channels at 23:30 on July 5th, 2024. You can also catch it on streaming platforms like DMM TV, d Anime Store, and more, with early access streaming from July 5th at midnight.
To celebrate the upcoming broadcast, special postcards will be distributed starting June 12th in the Shinjuku area, and later at anime shops, record stores, and electronics retailers across the country. Don’t miss out on these exclusive collectibles!
