Recapping the Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc with Exclusive Illustrations!

Now that the Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc has come to an end, let's take a moment to look back at the season! And we'd like to share some special illustrations provided by ufotable X (formerly Twitter) account for each episode. These might even make great wallpapers!

We've gathered all the new illustrations of the characters from the Hashira Training Arc, including pre and post-episode illustrations and special thank-you post illustrations, all in one place. The arc wrapped up with its final episode on June 30, 2024, concluding with the dramatic season finale "The Hashira Unite".

Each week since the first episode, ufotable released new illustrations of the Hashira and other characters to commemorate the ongoing series. Now, we're excited to introduce them all to you!

Episode 1 "To Defeat Muzan Kibutsuji"

The first episodes kicked off with a bang, which featured stunning pre and post-provision illustrations. The battle between the Serpent Hashira, Obanai Iguro, and the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa, was especially intense.

Episode 2 "Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka's Pain"

In this episode, the story dives deeper into Water Hashira's past and story, as Tanjiro follows and tries to persuade Giyu Tomioka, which quickly became a one of the most wholesome episodes in this arc.

Episode 3 "Fully Recovered Tanjiro Joins the Hashira Training!!"

In this episode, Tanjiro visits the retired hashira Tengen Uzui, and together with other corps members, they undergo rigorous training.

Episode 4 "To Bring a Smile to One's Face"

This episode has Tanjiro joining Muichiro Tokito for training. Muichiro's stern demeanor towards the other corps members contrasted with his warm smile towards Tanjiro made a memorable impression.

Episode 5 "I Even Ate Demons..."

After finishing training with Mitsuri Kanroji, Tanjiro moves on to train with Obanai Iguro. Jealousy sparks as Obanai feels overshadowed by the time Tanjiro spent training with Mitsuri. Subsequently, Tanjiro heads to Sanemi Shinazugawa's dojo...

Episode 6 "The Strongest of the Demon Slayer Corps"

The sixth episode sees Tanjiro, along with Zenitsu Agatsuma and Gyomei Himejima, facing challenges like waterfall training at their training grounds. The announcement of Ryusei Nakao voicing the Kasugai Crow added an extra layer of excitement to this episode.

Episode 7 "Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima"

Revealing Gyomei Himejima’s past, touched by Tanjiro's emotions while training, bringing sentimental depth to the story. And then, the demon king Muzan Kibutsuji makes his appearance...

Episode 8 "The Hashira Unite"

The final episode of the Hashira Training Arc, extended to a 60-minutes episode, features a critical encounter between Ubuyashiki and Muzan Kibutsuji. Moreover, this episode kicks off the final chapter of the anime, the "Infinity Castle Arc".

 

This concludes the special illustrations of the Hashira Training Arc.

Furthermore, it has been announced that the next chapter of the anime, ‘Infinity Castle Arc’, will be released as a trilogy of movies. The special announcement was released on YouTube and quickly surpassed 4.9 million views in three days. The anticipation for Demon Slayer continues to grow!
