The official adaptation of "Clevatess - The King of Magical Beasts, the Baby, and the Corpse Hero" has been confirmed. With the announcement, a teaser artwork and the first trailer have been released.
The main cast features Haruka Shiraishi, Mutsumi Tamura, and Yuichi Nakamura, with Kiyotaka Taguchi, known for his work on the Ultraman series, making his debut as an anime director. The manga, currently serialized on LINE Manga, is Yuji Iwahara's first foray into high fantasy, known for "King of Thorn" and "Dimension W."
The story follows Alicia, who has aspired to be a hero since childhood and becomes one of the chosen thirteen heroes by the king. These heroes, armed with legendary swords, embark on a mission to defeat the monstrous king Clevatess. However, their bravery could potentially lead to the worst crisis, endangering all human races across the Edcea continent.
The last hope for the world is a baby entrusted by the magical beast king himself. What unfolds next? Will it be an apocalyptic revelation for this doomed world or a nurturing diary for a new era?
Starting July 5th, a new edition will be published under the MF Comics Alive+ series. The anime's teaser visual and first promotional video were also released alongside this announcement. Animation production is handled by Lay-duce, with Kiyotaka Taguchi venturing into anime direction after his extensive experience in special effects work, including the Ultraman series.
The main cast is a stellar lineup with Haruka Shiraishi as Alicia, Mutsumi Tamura as Klen, and Yuichi Nakamura as Clevatess. Comments from the original author Yuji Iwahara, director Taguchi, and the cast members Shiraishi, Tamura, and Nakamura have been shared, adding to the anticipation.
