"The Apothecary Diaries" anime is set for a second season in 2025! Just in time for Tanabata on July 7th, delightful new visuals and a mini voice drama have been released, featuring the beloved characters MaoMao and Jinshi dressed in traditional yukatas. This series, a court mystery with a cumulative total of over 33 million copies sold, began its anime journey in October 2023, quickly climbing the ranks on streaming platforms. Following the season one finale in March 2024, the eagerly awaited second season was announced.
This Tanabata, fans were treated to a glimpse of MaoMao and Jinshi in chic yukata attire through exclusive visuals and a captivating voice drama video. Under a starlit sky that brings the Milky Way to mind, MaoMao writes her wishes on tanzaku, while Jinshi gives a playful look. These special visuals offer a refreshing summer vibe, differing from their usual outfits.
The festivities continue with the release of a special video featuring a mini voice drama where Jinshi chats with MaoMao in her yukata on Tanabata night. What wishes might MaoMao be jotting down on her tanzaku? Be sure to tune into their unique Tanabata conversation, showcased in a charmingly different style.
Moreover, the official website now offers downloadable PC and smartphone wallpapers featuring these new visuals. A follow and repost campaign has also launched on platform X. By following the official "The Apothecary Diaries" account on X and reposting the relevant post, fans have a chance to win one of five postcards featuring the new visuals.
