My Hero Academia Teams Up with Kura Sushi for Exclusive Merch

In celebration of the release of My Hero Academia : You're Next on August 2, Kura Sushi, a major conveyor belt sushi chain across Japan, is launching an exclusive collaboration starting July 19. Fans can get their hands on special merchandise featuring newly designed artwork available only at Kura Sushi.

Since its debut in 2014 in Weekly Shonen Jump, My Hero Academia, created by Kohei Horikoshi, has soared in popularity, with over 100 million copies of the manga series distributed worldwide. The latest movie installment, My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: You're Next, follows our heroes in their second year at U.A. High as they navigate a society left in tatters after a massive hero-versus-villain war. The plot thickens when a mysterious giant fortress appears, heralded by a man who reminds everyone of the "Symbol of Peace."

In anticipation of the movie's debut, Kura Sushi offers a fun twist: every five plates you drop into the table’s return slot enters you into the "Bikkura Pon!" lottery, where you could win merchandise featuring fan-favorite characters like Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochaco Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Shoto Todoroki, and All Might.

Available only at Kura Sushi, the collectibles include uniquely designed rubber stands, villain-themed can badges, and sparkling charms that dazzle in the light.

Moreover, every purchase totaling 2,500 yen or more earns you one of several original items, released in three waves: starting July 19, then August 9, and finally August 23. These include character-themed clear files, traditional Japanese fans, and clear cups.

The collaboration also decks out two flagship stores, Harajuku and Namba Parks South, with special decorations and character illustrations, making them ideal spots for photo ops.
