The anticipated movie, "Wonderful Precure! The Movie: Adventures in the Thrilling Game World," set in the universe of the anime "Wonderful Precure!", will premiere across Japan on September 13, 2024. We've just received a sneak peek with three exciting new stills that capture some unexpected developments during a "Balloon Popping Game" with raccoons, featuring none other than the heroic Mofurun from previous series.

Wonderful PreCure! Movie: Big Adventures and Unexpected Heroes in the Game World

Since its debut in 2004 with "Futari wa Precure," the "Precure" franchise has captured the hearts of children as iconic heroes to look up to. The latest installment, "Wonderful Precure!", which began broadcasting in February 2024, made history with its first "dog" Precure characters. The show follows the adventures of Cure Wonderful, aka Komugi Inukai, a pet dog, and her animal-loving owner Cure Friendly, aka Iroha Inukai, as they join forces with other characters to battle the enigmatic creature "Gargal".

The film follows Komugi and Iroha as they find themselves unexpectedly sucked into the world of their favorite game, "Doki Doki Tanuki Kingdom". One of the released stills showcases a tense moment from the raccoon's game, "Balloon Popping Game," where Mofurun makes a radiant entrance to assist the Precures, surprising everyone including a giant mochi character.

The goal of the "Balloon Popping Game" is straightforward: pop all of the opposing team's balloons to claim victory. With just four Precures and Mofurun against countless raccoons, will they manage to win?

Another still captures Komugi panicking during the rhythm game "Super Tanu-See! Groove and Hit the Beat!", while Yuki gracefully steps to the rhythm, watched intently by Friendly and Lilian. The game, "Hit the Beat!", challenges players to match button presses with music cues. High scores can be achieved by catching "lucky balls", testing both rhythm and teamwork skills.

The third still reveals a dramatic turn as mysterious enemies emerge, prompting heroes from "Expanding Sky! Precure" and "Maho Girls Precure!" to make an appearance. The character designer Risa Miyatani discusses the evolution of these characters: "For 'HiroPuri' and 'MahoPuri', I focused on developing a more dependable aura as they've grown older. Cure Sky sports a determined look, marking her first role as a senior, while Cure Miracle radiates both charm and grace."

The movie not only brings nostalgia with the return of legacy Precures but also introduces a crossover spectacle and deepening bonds that are sure to thrill fans. "Wonderful Precure! The Movie: Adventures in the Thrilling Game World" is set to release on September 13. Don't miss out on the 'WanPuri Coloring Contest' currently hosted on the official SNS, with special coloring events at select theaters.
