In this finale, the Demon Slayer Corps finally confronts Muzan Kibutsuji. As Muzan attempts to strike Ubuyashiki, he makes a drastic decision to blow up the mansion, sacrificing himself along with his wife and two children in an attempt to kill Muzan.
Meanwhile, Tamayo tries to restrain Muzan after the explosion, by absorbing her fists and using her Blood Demon Art to stall him. Just as all the Hashiras, including Gyomei Himejima, along with Tanjiro, gather to deliver the final blow, just as Ubuyashiki planned it to be, the sound of a biwa halts their actions. Suddenly, the floor beneath them gives way, and they are lured into the demon-infested Infinity Castle.
The continuation of this story, the "Infinity Castle Arc," will be depicted in a movie trilogy.
After the episode, in the "Taisho Secret Talk" segment, Rengoku Kyojuro made an appearance, entrusting his wishes to his comrades, which thrilled fans.
