The anime "Bocchi the Rock!" which is still captivating audiences with its theatrical compilation "Bocchi the Rock! Re:" is now presenting an exhibition titled "Bocchi the Rock! Exhibition" starting September 7, 2024, at PARCO HALL, 9th floor, South Building of Nagoya PARCO in Aichi. "Bocchi the Rock!" is based on a four-panel manga by Aki Hamaji serialized in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Max. It depicts the journey of a shy, introverted girl, Hitori Goto, who joins a band called "The Bandage" and grows alongside three distinctive members: Nijika Ijichi, Ryo Yamada, and Ikuyo Kita. The anime exploded in popularity among youth when it aired in Fall 2022, winning numerous awards and earning widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally. The theatrical version "Bocchi the Rock!," re-edited for the big screen with impressive sound and visuals, released its first part "Re:" on June 7, with the second part "Re:Re:" set to premiere on August 9.
The "Bocchi the Rock! Exhibition" in Nagoya allows visitors to relive all 12 episodes of the anime with the characters, offering an immersive experience of the anime's acclaimed live scenes and empathetic character development. The exhibition features original sketches, art, and video materials along with exclusive illustrations and a recreated live house from the series. Upon entering, visitors are welcomed by newly drawn illustrations prominently displayed, inviting them into the world of "Bocchi the Rock!" alongside the song "Youth Complex." At the replica of the live house "STARRY," fans can discover their favorite band. An "Attention-Seeking Monster" also makes an appearance, complete with a "Like Button" for interaction.
